I am a Certified Dog Trainer, based in Southampton, Hampshire, UK, who specialises in supporting anxious and nervous dogs and their overwhelmed people to gain confidence and be able to move forward together in their journeys.
As a person who suffered childhood trauma that took years to bring out the emotion behind it and then later, being a mum of sons who suffer from chronic mental health issues, I fully understand that behaviour, shown by both humans and canines, is fuelled by our emotions and that you need to understand what they are going through and to listen to them. My experience and my goal is to help those dogs with emotions like anxiety and nervousness as well as their overwhelmed caregivers who are supporting them, using compassion, kindness, patience and understanding. There are no quick fixes when it comes to emotional health!
"Behaviour alerts us to the emotions of the individual!"
"We need to understand their needs in order to help them!"
My 121, 3 month, in person, Support Program will help you and your anxious or nervous dog gain confidence and move forward together using step by step compassionate guidance. Think of it as having a Trainer in your pocket that understands what you are going through.
If a dogs needs are not being met, you may see an escalation of behaviour as they are trying to communicate their need to you!
Take a look at the 'Hierarchy of Dog Needs' on the right to understand what we can do to help fulfil your dogs needs.
The 'Hierarchy of Dog Needs' was created by Linda Michaels M.A, Psychology and Founder of Do No Harm Training & Behaviour!

Not only does My Anxious Dog make space awareness products such as yellow dog leads, harnesses, rain coats and lead covers but they’re also on a massive mission to educate the public on what to do when they see a dog in yellow.
The yellow army is a collective of people who are joining forces to spread the word, raise awareness and make sure that our anxious and reactive dogs get the space they need.
Through awesome awareness-raising campaigns, we will make sure that everybody knows what to do when they spot a dog in yellow!
Browse their range of space awareness products via the link below, and get your dog the space and distance they need, so you can walk together carefree.
