Hello fellow Pet Parents,
I am Tracey Ordish DTC-CDT and I am the Founder of Dishys K9 Care, a Positive Reinforcement Certified Dog Trainer, a Distinctive Dog Trainer and I specialise in supporting nervous or anxious dogs and their concerned human partners.
I started the business, as a Home Dog Boarding & Day Care Service in 2017 and I experienced a whole range of ups and downs that can come from a multi-dog household. Through this experience, I started to understand how dogs can feel many emotions and project different behaviours in different situations. I wondered how I could help these dogs more as for some it was not an ideal situation for them. Some felt overwhelmed and couldn't cope being with other dogs or away from home.
The opportunity came in 2020 when the world found itself in the middle of a Pandemic and we had to close our doors through Lockdown! I decided to use that time to learn more about how I could help these dogs.
So, I signed up to the Dog Training College, the Dunbar Academy & the Pet Professional Network, to learn all I could with their broad knowledge of dog behaviour, and a lightbulb went off in me!
Wow, the similarities of understanding between supporting the struggles of my son's moderate to severe anxiety, my own childhood trauma and the emotions behind dog behaviour was enlightening!
It was then that my passion for dog training and the depth of understanding behind behaviour, took hold and led me down a new path!
After an intensive six months, I qualified as a Certified Dog Trainer in 2021 and I have since increased my skills, knowledge and experience by becoming a Distinctive Dog Trainer and I proudly gained a certificate in the Aggression in Dogs Masters Course in 2023! I am also now a Diamond Member at the Grisha Stewart Academy where I am still increasing my knowledge and skills. I attend regular conferences both in person and virtually as well as listening to daily podcasts from world renowned experts.
In 2023 I received an award from the Pet Professional Network for my 'Commitment to Learning' which made me very proud!
“Never Stop Learning, because life never stops teaching!”

Joey is our gorgeous Labrador whom we have raised since he was a puppy. He helped my son with his anxiety and he was an awesome teacher of all things dog, with me and every dog and parent that came through our doors from the beginning. He took his job role very seriously and wowed us with his knowledge and skills that he showed us all!
Joey is a great teacher and he communicates to us regularly. We have learned so much from him and are still learning now. It never hurts to go back to basics, does it Joey?
We call Joey our 'Ambassador' as he teaches us natural behaviours every day and also when we are going about things wrong!
Thank you Joey xxx

"I would like to recommend Sheena and Keith at Dishys K9 Care Our dog Mabel adores going to stay with them and is thoroughly entertained, exercised and loved! I feel so relaxed when I drop her off as I know she is always excited to go there and will have an amazing holiday too. We get lots of updates, video clips and photo’s which always puts our mind at rest that she is happy, busy and in great hands. I can not recommend them enough. Their experience, love and care towards dogs is so evident and treat each dog as they would their own. Thankyou Sheena and Keith"
Sheena and Keith adopted Pip in February 2019 following his stay with them due to his owner's ill health.
Pip loves his life with Sheena and Keith.
