My name is Tracey Ordish and I am the Owner of our family business Dishy's K9 Care. Part time team members are my husband Mike and our two sons, Craig and Luke. We have been running our small business since June 2017.
We have all found a love of dogs through our own furry friend, a black Labrador named Joey whom we have had since he was a puppy. Mike has also had dogs in his family growing up and states that no home is complete without a doggy companion! So True!
I am close to being Accredited for Level 2 Dog Care through Progress Training. This course has given me another look into the world of dogs and I feel that I understand them better. This has definitely assisted me in providing a safe, friendly and doggy appropriate care service for them.
I have also received a certificate in dog First Aid via a Dog First Aid Ltd course as well as a certificate for Tellington T Touch, a hands on way to relieve stress and anxiety in dogs.
Training and Development is key to help us understand dogs more and to improve our skills. I have attended the National Dog Behaviour Conference in May 2019, which is set up by Victoria Stillwell (from the TV show, Its Me or the Dog) and I am booked on next years too. I have learned more knowledge and skills that I can pass to our team.
Throughout Lockdown, both myself and Mike have been learning a lot of courses online including how to prevent Covid-19 in dog businesses as well as some courses in dog behaviour and training through the Dunbar Academy, Dog Training College, Virtual College and Dog Business School.
With our bubbly and friendly Labrador Joey, your friend will gain a loving K9 pal. He loves all dogs and is very sociable. He enjoys walks, playing with dogs, ball games in the garden and snuggling up on the sofa. We have had Joey since he was a puppy and he is the reason we are such dog lovers. He has shown us what unconditional love looks like!
We call Joey our 'Ambassador' as he teaches us natural behaviours in a pack of dogs and how to create calmness.
